Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions govern the supply of flooring products and installation services by Edinburgh Wood Flooring ("we", "us", "our") to you, the customer. By requesting a quote, placing an order or engaging our services you agree to these terms.

1. Our Services

We supply and install laminate, engineered, hardwood and cork flooring, along with underfloor heating and associated services throughout Edinburgh and the surrounding areas. Product images and descriptions on our website are for guidance; natural timber varies in grain, tone and knotting from piece to piece.

2. Quotations and Pricing

Quotations are free and valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise. Prices are subject to a site survey and may be revised if the scope of work, floor area or subfloor condition differs from the information originally provided. All prices include VAT where applicable.

3. Orders and Payment

An order is confirmed once you accept our quotation in writing. A deposit may be required to secure materials and a fitting date, with the balance due on completion unless agreed otherwise. Materials remain our property until paid for in full.

4. Installation

We will agree an installation date with you in advance. Please ensure the work area is clear and accessible and that the subfloor is ready. Additional preparation such as subfloor levelling, uplift of old flooring or moisture remediation may incur further charges, which we will discuss with you before proceeding.

5. Delivery

Delivery and fitting timescales are estimates given in good faith. We are not liable for delays caused by suppliers, couriers or circumstances beyond our reasonable control, but we will keep you informed and reschedule promptly.

6. Cancellations and Returns

Bespoke, cut-to-size or specially ordered products cannot be returned once ordered. Where a return is accepted, goods must be unused, in their original packaging, and a restocking charge may apply. If you cancel a confirmed installation at short notice, costs already incurred may be charged.

7. Warranties

Manufacturer warranties apply to the flooring products supplied and are passed on to you. Our installation workmanship is guaranteed against defects for the period stated in your quotation. Warranties do not cover damage from misuse, accidents, unsuitable environmental conditions, or failure to follow care and maintenance guidance.

8. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Otherwise our total liability is limited to the value of the work carried out. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the law of Scotland and any disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
